Alexa Bergman | Producer

Alexa is thrilled to mark her first producing venture by helping to bring SEA LEGS: A NAUTICAL NEW MUSICAL to a New York stage. She is a recent graduate from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Theater Arts degree, concentrating in Performing Arts Management.  Work and internship experience include Tara Rubin Casting, NBCUniversal, Michael Donovan Casting, Rodgers & Hammerstein Organization, Donna Grossman Casting, and KMR Talent Agency. 

Jason Kovacs | Producer

Jason is excited and incredibly grateful to be making his New York City producing debut with this fantastic company! He is currently a Voiceover Assistant at Abrams Artists Agency. Past employers include: Bisno Productions, The Public Theater/New York Shakespeare Festival, The Araca Group, and Foxwoods Theatre. Proud University of Michigan grad. Go blue!

Lindsay Alexis | Producer

Lindsay Alexis is thrilled to be part of the SEA LEGS production team! Upon completing her undergraduate degree in 2013 at the University of Michigan, Lindsay moved to New York City to pursue her MFA in Theatre Management & Producing at Columbia University. Throughout her time in New York, Lindsay has worked for such notable companies and organizations as Frankel Green Theatrical Management, Manhattan Theatre Club, Ars Nova and SpotCo. 

Robert Ariza | Music Director

Robert Ariza is thrilled to be working on SEA LEGS again! A recent graduate of the BFA Musical Theatre program at the University of Michigan, Robert is happy to be back in New York where he grew up. Apart from music directing the premiere of this musical, he has also music directed shows at Pioneer Theatre Guild in Ann Arbor, including RAGTIME, SHREK, PIPPIN, and RENT. Anton Volovsek | Scenic Designer

Anton is a sophomore at the University of Michigan School of Music Theatre and Dance pursuing a BFA in Design and Production. At his time at Michigan, Anton has worked on many shows set designing as well as getting involved in other aspects of the theatrical process. The many shows he has worked on include set designing two original productions, THE LOVING DEMISE OF LORD BLACKWELL AND HIS WIFE and SEA LEGS: A NAUTICAL NEW MUSICAL, as well as stage managing and assistant set designing tried and true shows such as LES MISERABLES and THE TRESTLE AT POPE LICK CREEK.

Anna Katherine Moore | Stage Manager

Anna Katherine Moore is excited to be stage managing SEA LEGS! In New York, she has stage managed JEREMY AND (Fresh Fruit Festival) and was the assistant stage manager on BECKET (Gene Frankel Theatre). In Charlotte, NC, she stage managed LES MIS, AVENUE Q, A CHRISTMAS CAROL, and WILLY WONKA.  In 2010-2011, she was a stage management apprentice at Orlando Shakespeare Theatre.

Tyler Dean | Book & Lyrics

Tyler Dean is a recent graduate of the University of Michigan with a BFA in Theatre Performance and a minor in Creative Writing. His plays and musicals have won several regional and national awards, including a Kennedy Center award for undergraduate playwriting. Tyler currently lives in Brooklyn with his best friend and collaborator Mike Tooman. He is very excited to embark on this Off-Broadway adventure!

Mike Tooman | Composer

A Michigan native, Mike grew up in South Lyon, moving to Detroit in 2011 to pursue a degree in music composition at Wayne State University. Mike graduated magna cum laude in May of 2014 with a Bachelor of Music with concentrations in composition and music theory. He is also a member of the Pi Kappa Lambda music honor society.  Mike has been playing music his whole life, playing in church since 2003, jamming in bands since 2005, and writing musicals with Tyler since 2009. Mike moved to New York with Tyler in June of 2014 to prepare SEA LEGS for its Off-Broadway run!

Taylor Norton | Director

Taylor holds a BFA in Directing from the University of Michigan's School of Music, Theatre and Dance.  In Ann Arbor, Taylor's University of Michigan production credits include: THE WHO'S TOMMY, THE TRESTLE AT POPE LICK CREEK, and the original production of SEA LEGS: A NAUTICAL NEW MUSICAL. Taylor has been working with Tyler and Mike since premiering their second musical, ZOMBIE FARM in 2009 through Basement Arts at Michigan, and is thrilled to start her own New York adventure.  www.taylornorton.com

Whitney Brandt | Choreographer

Whitney Brandt is a NYC based choreographer and performer. Originally from Texas, Whitney graduated with a BFA in Musical Theatre from the University of Michigan. Choreography credits include: A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC and SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH GEORGE, directed by Mark Madama at the University of Michigan, THE WHO'S TOMMY, LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS with MUSKET at U-M, and the original production of SEA LEGS: A NAUTICAL NEW MUSICAL with Basement Arts, and LES MISERABLES at Class Act Productions in Houston, TX.  www.whitneybrandt.com.

Katie Lantz | Costume Designer

Katie Lantz is a freelance costume designer and stage manager with a BFA in Design and Production from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Katie is so excited to be on board this nautical adventure for the second time, having costume designed and stage managed the Ann Arbor production. Katie's professional credits include organizations and companies such as University Musical Society, The Public Theatre, Pasadena Playhouse, South Coast Repertory Theatre, Punchdrunk Productions (SLEEP NO MORE), and The Araca Group. Alyssa Battersby | Wig & Makeup Design

Alyssa Battersby is a freelance wig and makeup designer with a degree in Design and Production from the University of Michigan. Based in NYC, Alyssa's work includes theater, opera and photography. Recent and upcoming work includes Special FX makeup work with ROCKY (Broadway), wig and makeup assistantships with Florentine Opera, Sarasota Opera, and Syracuse Stage, and university designs with the University of Michigan and Notre Dame Shakespeare Festival.
